How did Gleycy Correia die? Former Miss Brazil, 27, went in for routine operation
After having a tonsillectomy, former Miss Brazil Gleycy Correia suffered major bleeding and a heart attack, which led to her death on Monday, June 20, in a private clinic.
The tonsils are surgically removed as part of it. Correia, who is from Macae in southeast Brazil, was put into a coma in April and remained there for two months.
The Forensic Medicine Institute of Macae will conduct an autopsy on her body to determine the exact cause of death.
On Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., Correia was laid to rest.
The 27-year-old model and influencer was well for at least five days following the procedure, according to claims made by the family priest Lidiane Alves Oliviera, until suffering a hemorrhage while at home.
When she won the Miss United Continents Brazi title in 2018, the 27-year-old former Miss Brazil garnered media attention.
She was a successful model as well as a businesswoman who focused on laser therapy and permanent makeup procedures where clients receive cosmetic tattoos that imitate cosmetics.
She frequently discusses her struggle with poverty on social media and explains that she was forced to start working as a manicurist at the age of 8 due to her family’s financial situation.
To say goodbye to the late beauty, the Official Miss Brazil Instagram account sprang into action. Gleycy will always be remembered for her enlightened beauty, joy, and sensitivity displayed in her work, according to the post.
